Privacy Policy
Colorado Parcels for iPhone, iPad, and web ยท Effective August 12, 2026
Colorado Parcels is provided by Ash Apps. This policy explains how the Colorado Parcels iPhone and iPad app and website handle information.
Information the app handles
- Parcel searches. Search terms, such as an address, owner name, parcel number, account number, or county, are sent to our server so the app can return matching public parcel records.
- Map-area requests. The app sends the geographic bounds of the map area you are viewing so it can load nearby parcel boundaries. If you choose My Location, your device location is used on-device to center the map. The resulting map area can reflect your location.
- Operational logs. Our hosting provider records request details such as the requested URL, IP address, user agent, timestamp, response status, and latency. Because search terms and map bounds are part of request URLs, they can appear in these logs.
- Saved parcels. Parcels you save are stored on your device. We do not operate user accounts or synchronize saved parcels to our servers.
- Website session replay. On the website, we record the page structure and changes, clicks, scrolling, and pointer movement so we can reproduce a visit and diagnose usability problems. Textual form and search-input values are masked, map canvas pixels are not recorded, dynamic route values are removed from session metadata, and we do not attach a name, email address, or account to a recording. Content visibly rendered on the page, including public parcel information, can appear in a replay. Replay data is stored privately in our Google Cloud account and is accessible only to the service administrator.
How information is used
We use this information only to provide parcel search and map features, maintain service availability and security, diagnose errors, and improve performance. We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites.
Service providers and map data
We use Google Cloud to host the search service and operational logs. Apple Maps supplies the standard and satellite maps. If you select the OpenStreetMap style, tile requests are sent to OpenStreetMap. Those providers process requests under their own privacy terms. Parcel records come from public government sources and may contain information about property owners.
Retention
Operational request logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically, unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse, protect the service, or comply with law. Saved parcels and cached parcel data remain on your device until you remove them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Website session replays are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Your choices
Location access is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings. You can remove saved parcels inside the app. Because the app has no account, we generally cannot identify a particular person's entries in short-lived operational logs. You may contact us with a privacy question or request at aaron@ashapps.com.
Children
Colorado Parcels is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
